Bay Star electric bay door won't open - service in AZ, NV or CA?

We met up with some Newmar folks in Quartzsite who recommended Freedom RV in Tuscon for warranty work but we changed our plans and are heading north toward Las Vegas then west and eventually back to Los Angeles. We are currently in the Lake Havasu area. Any recommendations on where to get miscellaneous coach warranty work along our route?

We're limping along with our bay door issue (we fished for our electric cord and pulled it across the narrow pass through and out the other side to plug in - plus we're boondocking a lot) but we'd like to look ahead to where we can get all the accumulated warranty work done soon!

Thanks!

There are no newmar dealers in Las Vegas. I really can`t recommend any of the dealers in the area. Check RV Service Reviews for a mobile tech. I would stay away from Camping World but for what you need in a bay door handle they might be okay. Southern Calif. has a few Newmar dealers that I have heard do good work.
Good Luck

Newmar Customer Service is very good at locating repair facilities when you are on the road. I have called them several times about a problem, they made an appointment for me and shipped the part to the dealer so it was waiting for me when I arrived.

Newmar Customer Service number is 800-731-8300

We have a Baystar 2903 from 2014 and had issues with nearly every basement storage bin. If your problem is like what we had on 4 of the doors including the electric, the catch on the door is not lined up properly with the "U" shaped bracket on the bottom of the door frame opening. If you crawl underneath with a big screw driver or piece of wood you can see where to pry - gently to get them lined up. You may even be able to push the striker back so door releases. We had a 1X2 by the entry door for weeks until we got to the dealer.

Thanks for all the ideas. Sightseers, the bay doors on the newer models open from the side but essentially that sounds like what they will do - gently pry it open and break the casing that covers the latch. Not excited by this process but I guess that's what it takes. Prying sounds like it won't be good for the door at all.

Oh, and now we've learned our batteries are no good (that's why they can't seem to charge all the way), AND today we couldn't get the jacks down. The problems can stop now ok?!!
