I'm going to suggest that if you can swing it, go for the 3124 for more reasons than just the A/C. The larger tires and better frame will give you a better ride and more storage. Handling with the smaller frame is not pleasant on a windy day. Is the Bay star Sport a full body paint unit or paint and decal combination. In Florida go for the full body paint. It is worth every penny. I like the flexibility a 2 unit A/C rig gives you. I don't like the noise of an AC over my head in the bedroom at night so I run just the front and push the air back with a small floor fan. I do think camping in Florida requires 2 A/C. You can only get into the state parks in the summer because all the snow birds are there all winter. I also find that in the summer you will be spending a lot of time inside because they do not spray for bugs in the state parks. However you can get a full hook up site in a beautiful state park for only $14 a night if you are over 65 and a Florida Resident. My unit is very similar to the Baystar Sport but just a little longer. I've had it for 10 years now with no immediate plans to trade or change if that tells you anything.

Best Choice

Two A/C also means 2 heat pumps. This may have been already mentioned but here is what I did. We had a Baystar 2901 and bought up to the 2015 3124. Upgrades at that time included 22.5 tires, bigger capacity chassis, King Bed (a big deal), full slide. 3124 is great. Added Roadmaster sway front and back and steering assist. One great MH. No regrets.

Slideout covers make a big difference in cooling. Does the model you picked have slideout covers?

Thanks Patti! I've been trying to get in one or two posts every month... After two years now, I feel good about being over the learning curve, so there's not quite as much compulsion to soak in every detail from the forums.
