Bay Star Sport 3004 - First Trip, Impression

Just came back from a short distance trip to a local state park with our brand new Newmar. Everything worked, learned some things (some good some not so much), added to my questions / fix it list. At the end of the day, glad we bought the thing.

Learned that the power awning CAN be tilted, although it takes a step stool to reach the locking knob.

Learned you should remove articles from the storage bays BEFORE you let the slides out lest you end up with a sore back or a head that hurts!

Learned the black and grey tanks will drain much slower than my previous motorhomes due to design. Also learned I'll need more drain hose.

Glad I upgraded to the 15k Heat pump. Worked great taking the chill off.

Still re-arranging storage areas to get best fit of stuff. Learned to wait until you have a closet before you buy things to put in it...

The three slides really make the 31 footer feel much much bigger. They will never make the bathroom larger, but hey I'm not in there much.

Glad the Maiden Voyage went well. There is a lot to know/learn even if you are experienced at motor homing. That's why we hang around here so hopefully we can figure it all out. Keep having fun!

Hi wildtoad,
Congrats on your coach. Glad to hear the maiden voyage went well. The bay Star and Sport are really nice coaches. I've been through quite a few in the last couple of weeks.

Pretty coach.

One thing I learned was to make wife had all the stuff from the basement prior to putting out the slides.
