Bay Star to Dutch Star

Greetings! We are working on finalizing the paperwork but it looks like we will be the proud owners of a 2012 Dutch Star 4342. I don't mind telling you that several posts on this forum (including one by the original owner) helped make the decision for us.

We bought a new Bay Star 2901 about a year ago and I have since retired. While I really like our Bay Star I simply didn't relish the thought of driving cross-country in it. We have an NC to Washington State trip in July so timing is perfect.

I downloaded the brochure from Newmar's archive but I'd like an Owners Manual if someone can post a link. 007 are you out there? Ha!

This site is such a wealth of information (and opinions) and I have gained much knowledge lurking here. I always refer folks to the site if they are not already aware of it. Any words from the wise as we transition to our first DP would be greatly appreciated.

In a few days I hope to need to change my profile picture, but I'll always be... DC3

If you are talking about the Dutch Star in Marion NC that is one nice coach we looked at it last month and really wanted it but we decided to wait on a new Ventana

Thanks Rodney,
Yes that's the coach. We drove a Ventana while there and I was planning to order a new Ventana when DW decided she REALLY liked that Dutch Star.

I would have beat you to it but they wanted me to give them my coach and I love my Canyon Star to much to give it away

They gave us good credit for our Bay Star, but it is only a year old. I love our Bay Star. It is perfect size for us and we like the floor plan. I do NOT like the way it drives, even with the CHF. It'll be a good coach for somebody if they're making short trips.

Happy travels!
