Baystar TV removal

Hello all,
I'm trying to hookup an HDMI cable to the back of the Main (front) LCD TV in a 2012 Baystar but, can't figure out a way to access the back of the set without removing the TV. The rear of the front soffett has 2 vented panels but no visable way of removal. Any ideas?

I have a 2012 baystar and wanted to access the back of tv. That vented wood panel will come off. Just slide a puddy knife behind the edge and go around the entire perimeter. You will loosen the bead of silicon. The panel will come right out. When you are done put a small bead back on panel and insert. I great idea would be to buy some cabinet door magnets and use them so you can pop it on and off in future. Good luck.

2012newmar,
Just an update on the TV panel removal. The panel came off as you stated. I also added the HD magnetic cabinet catches to the center of the panel, 1 top and 1 bottom with bumpers on the four corners. I had to add a 3/4"x1-3/4"x3" block to the inside of the face frame for the magnetic part of the catch to mount to. The flat metal part attaches to the panel. Works great!

Jim...sounds great. I am tempted now to remove my panel and install the magnets. It should come out of the factory that way.

My Bay Star came with a Sony AV receiver but it was not hooked up like Sony suggests. I connected a HDMI cable from the Sony receiver's HDMI output to the DVD HDMI port on the little box (which was connected to the DVD player) in the hot cupboard, and set the Sony TV to the DVD/BD input. I then used the Sony receiver's HDMI inputs as normally used and switch the inputs with the Sony receiver's controller.

joes2901,
I also have the Sony AV receiver but changed out the DVD players for Bluray. I ran HDMI cables from the Bluray player to the AV receiver, then to the TV. All Sony equipment. No Satellite TV yet.
