The rear tank monitor in our 06 Essex 4508 has changed to bright with little or no contrast so the LCD screen can't be read. Provided you look at an extreme angle the screen can barely be read.
Newmar parts quoted $1632 for a replacement, has anyone had this problem and more importantly does anyone know of an alternative?
While the rear monitor is nice, $1632 is quite a lot for that luxury.
Thanks,
JVR

Before I'd shell out $1600, I'd call the manufacturer and ask what to do. A lot of times they'll send a replacement (in the case of Fan-Tastic Fan free of charge!)

Sounds like a good idea, but neither the circuit board nor the lcd screen idicates a company name.
Thanks,

E-PLEX out of Fla. They won't tell you anything except to call Newmar. Newmar doesn't want anyone else to have the software to trouble shoot. You have to pull unit and send to Newmar and then they send it to EDD in Fla for repair or replacement.
