Well, I finally got it all together and began the replacement of our TV. Dale, you were right. Although we didn't have any "buttons" on the bottom of our compartment, there were two large screws in the side compartments that held the tim and shroud in place. The suckers were REALLY hard to remove. They were Robertson screws and were immediately behind the trim for the adjacent doors. I got them out and the shroud came right out though.

There was a wire with two RCA plugs on it that wasn't hooked up to anything. I presume they were to hook up to speakers, although I probably won't use them. We bought a Sony 26" BRAVIA with a sub-wolfer unit. Looks great and has good sound.

I will take pictures and then educate myself on how to put them up.

Happy New Year!!

M & C

I also have those two RCA wires.

Plug them into the "audio out" jacks on your new Sony TV--- Turn on your Sony radio--- to the aux 2 position--- and "Walla"--- you should have TV sound from all your speakers, even in the bedroom, and you can control the volume using the TV remote control.

Please let us know if this worked for you--

Good luck,

Our Sony "Good-Time radio was shorted out when I bought my rig, and so I bought a Pioneer to replace it. A friend of mine put it in and I don't remember him saying anything about any RCA plugs, but then it has been 6 years ago.
