Best place to purchase a 2017 Dutch Star?
Last October, I posted a similar thread when we intended to purchase a 2016 Dutch Star 4369. We backed off when we learned of the 2016 DS front axle issues.
Since Newmar has upgraded the front axle, we are interested in placing an order for a 2017 Dutch Star 4369. We live in our motor home so we can travel anywhere to make the best deal. We will be trading our 2012 Tiffin Allegro Bus on the deal.
Based on previous input from this forum, the top three Newmar dealers for best deals are:
1. Coachlight RV
2. Tom Lindstrom RV
3. Steinbrings RV
4. Midway RV
Are there other dealers I should consider for competitive pricing, especially considering I have a trade-in?
Thanks for the input.
Rex

I have heard Tom is an honest guy. I would NOT recommend Guaranty in Portland. Some have had good luck with them. I found them less than straight forward. Whether just a lack of communication (if you check their web site you might notice there is no contact info for anything above a salesman) or shear dishonesty I can not verify. Like any "car dealer" once they have your money, you might as well not exist. Their finance guy seems honest, but I think they keep him on a short leash. YMMV.

+2 on Guaranty, asked for a quote from them today and they were 9 percentage points higher from my lowest bid.

Give Tom Lindstrom a call, you won't be disappointed. You can go on his website and email him. He will get back to you and answer any questions you have but will not badger you with repeated calls or emails. Tom is straight up honest, ethical, trustworthy and extremely knowledgeable about the Newmar products. He only sells Newmars, and is well respected with the company. We have been extremely happy with our purchase both before and after the sale.

+2 on Tom Lindstrom! We got a great recommendation from Mike and Cha about Tom, called him, you can tell how good he is over the phone! Traveled to pick up our 3710 and have been happy campers since. Great guy, honest and makes a great deal..
We will buy from him again!

You could add Justin Mishler at Independence RV in Fort Myers. Pleasure to work with.

Midway RV is a dealer that you for sure want to call. They are really aggressive on trade in allowances.

I placed an order with Tom Lindstrom for a 2017 Canyon Star based on all the recommendations here. We spoke by phone a few times then met to discuss Newmar RVs. Professional, nice sense of humor, extremely knowledgeable about Newmar and their options and special orders. I spoke with 4 Newmar dealers and got bids from all of them. Tom's estimate wasn't the lowest but was close enough for me to close the deal with him. Price was important but the total picture was more important. I'm grateful for the members here putting me in touch with Tom.
Tom is honest and ethical and fun to work with. I won't hesitate to purchase from him again. Truly ''one of a kind'' in this business.

You've got a good list there, but you might also check in with Transwest right there in CO. I had a nice conversation with one of their reps, and the price was good, the trade allowance not so much.
If I had to pick one, it would be Dave Roe at Coachlight. His bid was great, right out of the start gate. Midway would be a very close second. They did end up slightly beating the Coachlight price, but only after a bit of work on my part. Kyle Walcott there has taken good care of us.

I would ad Desert Autoplex RV in Mesa Arizona to your list. CJ is very knowledgeable particularly when requesting any custom orders from Newmar.

National Indoor RV Center (NIRVC) in Atlanta and in Texas. Bought mine from Tony Morse at the Atlanta store. Best of 5 dealers I checked, plus they put you up at Stone Mountain Park (5 star CG, 2 miles from their store) for 3 days, and assign 2 techs to you for the 3 days to make sure you are happy. As good as Factory delivery, as the techs are top notch.
