Bin Doors

I need to replace some storage bin doors on my 99 MA. Can any one please tell me if there is a place where these can be found? If I buy them new I will have to have them painted. I am just wondering if there is another way,

Thanks in advance for any info.

From personal experience:
Any competent rv collision repair shop can either fabricate or order baggage compartment doors, and of course paint them as well.

I made my own baggage doors. From a 4x8 sheet of .063 aluminum (about $70 for the sheet). I made the door frame out of aluminum angle iron. I reused the Newmar top rail is it needs to fit into the track. Post my build, I find Newmar's pricing for aluminum extrusions to be reasonable...so I would look into buying the door frame rails from them. They will also cut the long lengths shorter to reduce shipping cost and complexity. You will have to provide them dimensions.

The trick was forming the smooth bend at the door bottom edge. I built a jig out of a galvanized post pipe and a 1x1 steel square tube to grab the edge of the aluminum panel. I used a 1/2" drive socket and a long breaker bar in the end of the post pipe to turn the pipe and form the bend. Took some trial and error and some muscle to fabricate this all.

I used home depot closed cell foam, which is higher R value and denser than the bead foam Newmar uses. Used Home depot FRP 4x8 panel on the door interior.

Add two days of fabricating and I have four new doors. Each door from Newmar was $900 or so unpainted. So saved a fair amount.

I looked for used doors and it was hard to find the right dimensions and all were very expensive. Some were more than new doors.

Why do you need to replace yours? Accident damage? Not fixable? Mine were missing or really hit hard so had to be replaced.

There are several RV salvage yards you can Google. Give them a call and there is a good chance they can send you the exact doors. Some of these yards are huge.

Be aware that although they list coaches on their websites, their inventory changes daily, so be sure to ask.
