I just located my coach to storage with shore power(15a) and ran into a potential issue. When I hook up to SP, L1 and L2 reads voltage in the acceptable range but 0 zero amp. My remote reads "waiting for AC" and no battery charge indication. I changed the 30/15 amp dogbone, thnking it was the problem, as well as hooked shore power to another source with the same result. Any thoughts? A cursory look at transfer switch is good.

Hi cajunpilot,
This should be easy to diagnose. With a meter:
1. Check the source for power.
2. Take the cover off the trans switch and check for incoming power.
3. Check for outgoing power from the trans switch.
4. Check for incoming power at the charger.
5. You get the idea. Just follow the power stream until you loose power.
If there is outbound power at the trans switch and no incoming power at the charger, check the breaker that controls the charger.
Please let us know what you find.

cajunpilot,
If you are getting voltage on L1 and L2 you have a 220 volt receptacle and I suggest you do not use it. A 15 amp receptacle should read 120 volts from the live to neutral and 0 volts from neutral to ground. What is the voltage of the other receptacle.

You should have a 50amp to 30amp dog bone with a 30 to 15 amp adapter and extension cord to 115 amp outlet.
In the transfer switch you should read 115 on shore power connection and 115 on load center leads.
Be careful the circuit board maybe energized in TS.

All, thanks for your replies. I found the culprit, yes a bad battery. I followed all your inputs and found voltage low on one end to inhibit the charging function. I fully charged all batteries and then checked which i then found the culprit. I then hooked up the 15 amp SP and system works as advertised. Overall, a bit frustrating, but my learning curve was huge. Good exercise for future issues...I hope not. Safe travels all. Again thanks
