Well we finally did it this afternoon. Have been looking on and off for 18 months, mostly at coaches in the '05 - '08 range. But, an 01 Dutch Star on craigslist caught DW's eye a couple weeks ago. We went to look out of curiosity....and WOW...the coach had been garage stored and in like new condition. Not that it hadn't been used...~70,000 miles...but this coach was the gentleman's 11th...and it was obvious that he was maticulous in taking care of his equipment.
So as I'm new to DP...and modern MHs, I'm sure I'll be on here often asking questions and seeking advice.
So... Hello Newmar Owners Forum....my name is Mike...glad to finally join you.

Congrats to you! Sometimes Craiglist gets it right! You always wonder, but when you went to see it, well, I guess you knew! We got our last coach, a 30' Lazy Daze off a 'car lot' we were driving by, but did some detective work and got in touch with the real owner. He just left it on the lot, long after the dealer's agreement ended! Like three months past!
So we made him an offer, and wham, we got it. Now we may have to let it go, if we get a new coach. See next paragraph.
We may be joining this group soon. Hoping to get a nod on a 2005 Mt Aire. Will know VERY SOON! DrHK

I think the 2005 Mountain Aire is a great choice. We came within $5k of making a deal a year ago on a 4018...and regretted not buying it everyday until we found the DutchStar. My advice..if you find something you really like, make your best deal and buy it.
