Give up and pick up a new source? I have not had these problems with my camper but I have with my cabin cruiser. To track down problems like this I made two sets of jumper cables so I can probe 10' or 30' distances using a VOM or test light. I used 14 gauge wires with alligator clips on each end. Good luck, Tim

I got back to my coach today. The light in the engine did not work. Turned on the cargo bay lights and the light came on. If you still have problems try opening one of the cargo bay doors with the switch on for the cargo bay lights. If it is like mine there is no fuse other than the one for the cargo lights.

I wonder if those lights are a part of the chassis. If so, the fuse may be in the chassis fuse panel that may be located on the aft cargo bay wall just forward of the water bay. This panel contains the fuses for the tail lights, blinkers, etc. Just a wild guess.

Basement storage lights are in the bathroom panel. On mine it is the F9 fuse. When I pulled the fuse the engine light and the basement lights went out.

Quick update. Still no luck finding that fuse or relay. So far everything checks out. I'm ready to give up and just use a new 12 volt source for the engine compartment light. I even took the dash apart to hunt for an inline fuse. Newmar is of no help either in this case.

Thanks to everyone who posted to this thread.

Happy New Year

Do your basement lights work? Our coach is one year different, should be the same.

My engine light does not work unless the basement storage lights are turned on.

Yes, basement lights work and so does everything else.
