The block heater on my 05 DSDP with CAT C7 has shorted to Grd. and trips the breaker in the house panel.
Has anyone had expierience changing one? Where is it located? How hard to get to?
Good time to change t-stats too I would think.

I think most DP owners have mentioned they plug in heater night or day before leaving, to warm everything up.
Do not think you will hurt anything leaving it on just paying for electric bill.

Location is on drivers side near the oil filter...Check the connections on it...Since you have to drain the coolant to change, it might be a good time to change to extended life coolant if you don't have it.....

As noted, it is on the driver's side of the engine near the oil filter. Mine shorted out last year and I had it replaced during a service trip to the FL service center in Gaffney. It is a screw-in element.
