Blowing in the Wind

Travelling on 95 in NV with gusty winds when I heard some banging, looked out the side mirror and the cover for slide topper was flapping in the wind. I pulled over and noticed the cover had jumped the center bracket that is supposed keep it from flapping.

I got my ladder out and pushed the cover back into place. A few minutes later it jumped the bracket again and then the kitchen slide topper cover started flapping in the wind, there are magnets on each end of the slide topper covers so they snap into place when you close the slide. But if the wind is strong enough they will lift up and make a noise like they're ready to break off. Has anyone had this problem and how did you solve it.

I was thinking of having Newmar install 2 more brackets on each end of the center one on the FWS and install one on kitchen slideout

I will call Girard tomorrow and get there thoughts on this fix.

We have 2014 and the same thing happened to us in a strong wind. Solved the problem by adding two more anti bellow clips. Installed one near the front of topper then the other near the end of topper, now there is total of 3 clips. The girard toppers are held in place with magnets on each end and one clip located in the middle will not hold in strong winds. With a total of 3 clips problem solved

Thanks tmh1953. Exactly what I was thinking, also will add one on the kitchen slide. When we first picked up our coach I hit some wind and we heard some rattling on the passenger side but could not figure out what the noise was from, just found out yesterday though
