Bought tires today for Dutch Star

Just thought I would share I replaced my 10 year old Michelin Tires with Toyos today. All six replaced for $2825 at Crawford Tire in Winter Garden, Florida. Great folks to work with and the tires are great. Toyo gives you a 5 year unlimited mile warranty on them too! By the way they had Michelin also - but they cost $2,000 more.

Toyo and Hankook are on my consideration list for next year. Always have been a Michelin buyer, but am hearing too many good things from other brands to justify the Michelin cost premium.

Are you comparing the price for Michelin tires under the FMCA Advantage program?
The last time I bought tires I got Yokohama at Love's Truck Stop. Not only do they have good prices but they paid ME $75 for each of the tires they removed from my coach.

Curious if this was something you arranged in advance. We don't have any Love's near us, but we do pass them when we travel.

Love's did not stock the tire I wanted so I contacted the manager and he ordered them for me. They arrived in 3 days and the date code was only 3 months old. Since they work 7 days a week I was able to arrange a Sunday install on my way home from a rally.

+1 for Crawford Tires. I used them last year when we replaced our previous coach tires. Very pleased with service & knowledge! We also went alternate route than previous Michelins.

I compared and Crawford's price was Lower than the Michelin Program. Apparently the FMCA deal is good - if the tire dealer doesn't work with you on his own. My tires replaced where the 305x 235- 22.5 size. I called the dealer who had the program and the cost was $400 more for the Michelin's than from Crawford. They had some other tires that were even cheaper - but the Toyo's are highly recommended.

The Toyos ride and handle well. Gary, at Crawford, told me the Toyos gave a very smooth ride - but their biggest use is for semi's. My tires where in good shape, but 11 years old and I am selling the coach and new owner wanted new tires. Michelin recommends changing their tires when they hit 10 years old. By the way the Toyo's have an unlimited mileage on the 5 year warranty.

Not sure what other tires they could offer as I think only Michelin and Toyo make the 305's.
