briefly off kilter after hitting curb

We were turning right at a tight busy intersection earlier today and the back tires hit and road up over the curb. Immediately afterward, the rig felt completely out of whack. We both thought we'd gotten a flat tire or something and so stopped just a few feet later. We got out, looked at every tire on the DP and on the toad, the blue ox, underneath both vehicles, etc. Also checked the tire pressure monitor. We couldn't find anything at all wrong. We then restarted the engine and pulled forward slowly and carefully. Everything seemed fine and so we continued. We drove about 200 more miles and all is well.
Anyone have any theories on what could have happened?

Is the steering wheel in the same position when driving straight as it was before?
