would it be ok to use a UV protection coating material normally used on rubber roofs on a Brite-Tek roof?

Any UV protection is OK, I have found just a good wash in spring and fall works for me. Now if your in the south it may help with a UV protection also.

I agree with 007.. I used Spic-N-Span to scrub the roof and then wash the rig. Use plenty of water to rinse, otherwise you will probably strip any wax you have on the rig off.

As for a UV treatment... just make sure it does not leave the roof slippery. A 12 drop can ruin you day. Me I have my rig inside so I don't put anything on it. I also don't have a black streak problem either.

What products do I use.
Cleaner - VOOM mixed 5:1
Polish - Protect All and micro fiber cloths
Plastic - Plexus and micro fiber cloths
Glass Cleaner - Oemy's Ultra Glass Cleaner and micro fiber cloths
Note - My home brew cleaner with take off "fresh" water spots and leave a protective film on the glass that will bead water.

We use normal wash. And wax once or twice yearly. Stays perfect.
