Has anyone heard of, or know where to get Bug Magic? It's Diamond Shield's recommended bug removal product according to their product care sheet. But Bug Magic seems to be no longer in business. Does anyone know where to get some, or have an alternative product that works good on the front protective mask film?
Thanks,
Alan

I have found that an ounce of Fabuloso, placed in a 10 oz spray bottle does a good job when applied with a scrub sponge.

I have some of the recommended Plexus on the way, and in talking to their Rep, they seem to think their product does the trick. Not sure why Diamond Shield lists three different products in their product care sheet, it's a little confusing. Anyway, we'll see how this Plexus stuff works. One thing I have learned, is you need to get the bugs off that Diamond Shield sooner than later. Seems they eat into it or something, so hoping this stuff will make that process easier while on the road...

Keep a box of fabric softener sheets on board. Spray the area with water and rub the sheets over the area with bugs and hose off. Most will come off with only a little elbow grease. Works like magic. Learned this from a fellow RVer when I showed up in Talladega last fall covered in love bugs. I didn't believe him until I tried it.

Hmmmmm.....do NOT use fabric softener sheets on Diamond Shield. If you do, you will scratch it wherever you use the sheets and it will never be the same again.

We get good results by first doing this at the end of each travel day as the bugs get more difficult to remove the drier they are. Take two rags (we use microfiber) one sopping wet, the other dry. Start at the top and work your way down. We do the windshield first, then the front of the coach. Takes maybe 10 minutes.

I agree with Donna, use a sopping wet micro as the bug guts need to soak to be able to remove them without scratching the film surface. Plexus is great on clean film to polish and protect it and makes the bugs easier to remove the next time. I've found using it on dried bug guts and rubbing even softly produces lifetime scratches.

I used Protect All until I started using Plexus... I can clean the bugs of my Diamond Shield with a bucket of water and a Micro Fiber cloth. I have also stopped using paper towels and any cloth other than Micro Fiber clothes. Once the "fuzz" wears off they make really great "grease rags". One last tip, Do Not put Micro Fiber clothes in the dryer... let them air dry as they will last longer.
