I wipe the front down with detailing spray as soon as I arrive. The bugs come right off the 3M coating.

Unfortunately the rest of my MH is currently filthy but the front is sparkling clean.
I broke out the Spotless Water System I bought last fall for the first time today and finally washed the RV.

Wow, that makes the job SO much easier. No wiping and it drys spotless!

I used WD40 and it appears to have been a big mistake. I have what looks like white streaks on the clear mask. Anyone have a tip to remove these streaks? I have used cleaner and wax with a buffer and it is not making a dent. I wasn't aware that WD40 would damage a finish. Thanks

Its water soluble and safe for all surfaces. FYI
We have used Bugs Be Gone before on our Lazy Daze front end. Worked wonderfully. Wasn't sure it would be okay with the 3M film on the front. Hmmm, I'll give it a try.

Best thing about using the 0000 steel wool is that you can also use it to start a campfire. Ask any boy scout leader how to use flint and steel.. They don't tell the kids what the steel part is about.

Hi,

I use the steel wool on the windshield - works great. As for the rest of the RV, well I had baked on bugs (for years) that I could not remove ... used everything from several different types of sprays, the dryer sheets, even the steel wool - none of it worked until ...

I tried the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser and warm water - that did the job. Did it so well, in fact, that I went over the entire RV body and it now looks like it did when I purchased it. Not only got those pesky baked on bugs off but also removed the oxidization on the paint. Mind, you, my RV is white so don't know if the Magic Eraser will leave a haze on other coloured RVs.

Cheers,

Steve

Latrice,
Here is a link to the SeaFoam page. It appears as though Bugs B
Gone is is safe on any surface.

WD40 is a penetrating oil not a cleaner. I imagine that the hydrocarbon solvent in the WD40 damaged the plastic film.
