Burned out ceiling light bulbs on 18 LA
You would think that after owning Newmar's for 21 years we could figure out how to replace the light bulbs in our new coach. Have 4 ceiling light that are either burned out or have a wiring problem. Pulled one down from the ceiling but couldn't open to check on replacing the bulb. Can pull down light figure but whats next? Hoping that we don't have replace the unit which would be expensive.

Newmar used sealed LED's so the whole fixture needs replacing. Yours should be a warranty item since it's an '18 model.

You could have a lamp problem as stated above, or wiring at the lamp, switch, fuse box. Have you checked the fuses?

I'm confused... Could you clarify? How do these sealed LED's come out? Do you just pull on them, or turn them, or what? Haven't had to replace on yet, but have been wondering. Do you then push a replacement into the fixture? Thanks... Bill

The LED lights on our 18 LA in the ceiling can be pulled down but it looks like a sealed unit which would mean the the bulb isn't replaced when burned out but that the whole unit is replaced. Pulled the light down and didn't see a plug in for wiring connector because the insulation around light.

Whole fixture is sealed, so the whole unit has to be replaced. Cut the wires and splice new fixture in. Simple but would be nicer if Newmar had used fixtures with replaceable bulbs instead.
