Busbar for Victron BMV-712

I want to install the Victron BMV-712. I also want to run all the leads to a busbar so I only need to attach one cable to the Victron shunt instead of 3. What capacity busbar do I need? Can I use a 250. -300 amp or do I need to go up to a 600 amp like Cinergi (Ben) installed?

If your maximum draw is only around 300 amps combined, a 300 amp bus bar would work.

Place the negetive cable on the same stud as the high amp device ( inverter ).

Iíll repeat what I said in PM and that is this: the inverter ALONE can draw 300+ amps. There are other major 12v loads. The lights dim with the macerator toilet and water pump alone. I think Itís possible to see 450+. Will it work? Maybe, but youíll drop the voltage quite a bit, possibly to the point of an inverter shutdown.

Although as mentioned above If you combine the inverter on to the same stud as the battery leads, you can get away with a lower spec bus bar.
