I'm getting ready to buy a Gen Turi generator exhaust riser for my '07 DSDP. I'm going to use locking suction cups on the driver's window to hold it up.

Thought I'd post here to see if anyone has any suggestions. I've searched and read all the threads on why or why not to use. I'm going into some fairly close quarters and will need to use the generator frequently for about a week. Plus, the exhaust pipe is so low to the ground when the air is dumped that I've had to use a cookie sheet under the tip to prevent grass fires.

Anyone have any suggestions? Other than "don't go where you need the generator?"

Congratulations on being a good neighbor! We've had our gen-turi for several years and use it at FMCA rallies - they're the only ones that combine dry camping and close quarters.

I have noticed suction-cup marks on my paint, though. Perhaps you'd do better to bite the bullet and screw in the permanent eyelets. Perhaps I should too.

A guy named Doug Henry made a real neat set of holders for the Gen Turi
go to the following for picture:

Can get the orange suction cup glass handle at Harbor Freight, All thread and flat aluminum at lowes or home depot.

jack

sorry, couldn't get the url to work right. Log into the TiffinRVnetwork and do a search by author for dhenry. worth the effort.

Thanks for the suggestion. My plan is to use suction cups on the glass driver's window. I'll see how it works.
