I am looking for a great motorhome that will hold it's value & a strong manufactory that will stand behind their warranty? I know the market is down on RV's but I bet prices might be great? is Newmar a stable Company? I would love soom info. thanks

Newmar is a privately owned company, has very little debt and no shareholders to appease. Highly religious background of the company's management and workers suggestion they will be honest and up-front with their customers, and be good steward of the over-all operation of the company. We have been very impressed with their product, their devotion to the customer, and their warranty service and disposition of warranty issues. Do not think in today's market you could go wrong with any of Newmars products. IMO Newmar would be one of the last RV manufactures to close it doors if the market came to a screeching halt.

Newmar makes a good product. If you wish to broaden your search you may want to include Winnebago and Tiffin also. All three being strong companies building quality products.

We looked at them all. Narrowed our search to Newmar and Tiffin. We felt the Newmars were a little better built and Newmar will do Specials orders where they will customize changes for a client. That a lone put them way over the top for us and sealed the deal.

We have been very happy with our Newmar.

As for prices, don't expect anything better than whats been going on the past few years. Their costs rise just like everyone else's and they are making fewer units so the economy of scale is less.

I can certainly vouch for Newmar. I bought my MH home from a private seller and it had 4 or 5 months left on the warranty. The rear AC went out and Newmar paid to have a new one installed. I had a problem with the starter on the generator and it turned out Generac warranty was for 2 years not the 36 year warranty Newmar has. Newmar paid for all of this repair. I had a problem with the dash info center it had lines through it and could hardly read it. By this time it is out of warranty by 3 or 4 months, long story short Newmar pick up the whole bill. Sounds like I had a lot of problems, but these are the only problems I've had. My previous MH was a Fleetwood, not even close to Newmar's customer service.

Hi! We are awaiting delivery on our 3rd Newmar product in 3 and a half years. We had a 06 DutchStar, and a 07 Mountain Aire. Each time we went for a motorhome we would look at Tiffen, American Coach and Country Coach. Each time we came back to Newmar because of Quality, Tremendous Support, and the ability to add specials when building a coach. Look around and I think you will come to the same conclusions. Best of luck on your search. Paul

JOD,
I would echo Paul's comments as we are on our 4th Newmar product since 2002. The Comfort Drive is a big reason to go Newmar. All of there diesels have it available and it is great! Test drive one before make your choice.

Newmar's reputation for quality, customer satisfaction, Comfort Drive and their willingness to modify a coach to our specifications sold Joe and me on deciding our first coach would be a Newmar.

As Paul mentioned in his post, Newmar doesn't hesitate to do specials for you if you're willing to pay for them, unlike the other RV manufacturers who want you to order a coach with very few modifications. Installing a 52" HDTV isn't new to Newmar, but installing one on a lift in a specially designed cabinet is a first for them AFAIK. Pictures coming next week once we take delivery.

Sue <----excited, but exhausted and Nappanee bound tomorrow after the furniture is moved to storage and the trailer is loaded with all our 'stuff'. At the moment, I'm hoping it all fits both in the 6x12 trailer and in the RV.

Sue
