How does Camp Newmar work ?

Just show up and park in an available space. Some will have cones in front signifying that space has been taken by someone whose coach is in service (they pick up the coach for service at 6 AM and bring it back at 2 PM).
There are full hook up sites near the service building. If those are full, there are water/elect sites a block west along the fence. The meeting point for the tour is just across the street to the north.

They do have FHU sites. If you can swing it arrive during the week and you will be almost guaranteed availability.

No cost. They just would prefer for you to move on when your business is done, because at least for me, it's tempting to stay a few extra days. Spent two weeks total there, one week at a time, and really enjoyed it. The techs are great and you'll meet some really nice people. There's a nice customer service building with a TV, coffee, couches etc. for you to hang out in while they're working on your coach. It's the same building parts is in.

There are a few Amish restaurants within walking distance, but nothing on campus.

There is plenty to do in Nappanee and surrounding area but a car will be required.
Do you mean no toad? Yes go shopping first. There is not much in walking distance.

I have an appointment in mid-late October for warranty work. Unsure how long I'll be there because I'll be adding some body work repair, and of course all my day/night shades are done, also water coming in at the bottom of my feet while dash ac is on. I guess we will just get a standing hotel room for a few days. DW may have to leave as well if we are there for 3 or more days but I would assume they work pretty quick so who knows...Excited to go on a tour though and who knows may end up ordering a new coach...

Not to be too negative, but they don't work that quickly. They are good and thorough, just not speed demons. Just to be safe, I would double the time "you think" it should take, then you won't be frustrated.

The good news is that you are pretty much guaranteed to be satisfied before they let you leave. The techs were finding stuff I hadn't noticed while there. One morning the tech said, gee your air is down this morning. I said that's normal. He said, no it's not. He called in a Freightliner guy who crawled under the coach and found a welding spark had put a pin hole in our air lines. They fixed it, no charge. I can't speak well enough about their service at camp Newmar.
