Hi Newmar Owners: Need some suggestions, instructions and/or tips regarding our upcoming visit to Camp Newmar for service scheduled for Sept. 22nd. We traded our 06 Mtn. Aire for an 08, 4502 Essex w. Cummins 500 ISM and Spartan chassis down in Tucson, AZ this past Dec. (07). Essex had 4,400 (approx.) mileage, and although the dealer did tweak some items needing attention, they suggested we schedule service at Camp Newmar for some items. At any rate, we are now scheduled for service on Sept. 22nd (Mon.), and have just rcvd. the form from Newmar to be returned listing all service items we'd like taken care of. So, although we did visit the Newmar campus once with our Mtn. Aire, just to take the tour and see if they might fix our non-functioning entry door steps (no appt. so they couldn't), we are not sure of what to expect when we arrive with our Essex. We know where the main office is, and saw the various rigs parked outside of that office, and...we saw and stayed overnight in the other rig parking area along the fence on the way into the campus. So if we arrive Sunday evening (for Mon. appt.), where do we go. We don't know how long it'll take to get desired service done, but form from Newmar mentioned 4 days, so do we move out of our rig for 4 days (with our 3 cats), or can we stay in the rig?? Another question:.... a number of svc. items are warranty related but some are not (like paint scratches we'd like repaired, and an upgrade for fantastic fan from single toggle on/off to thermostatic adjustable speed control). Will non-warranty requests be handled as well if on the list returned to Newmar??? Sure could use any suggestions. Thank you. Steve & Lynette

You can take any spot that does not have a safety cone in it.
The main camping area is at Arnott & Cheyenne Sts. by the customer lounge. There are 24 50 amp full hookup sites.
Or you can camp at the sites at Delaware & Cheyenne Sts.
There are 18 sites with 50 amp and water, and 8 30 amp sites.
It's all first come, first served.
Each day of service, a tech will come to your coach at 6 am to take it for service. You need to be ready to go at that time. Between 2 and 2:30 they will return your coach to your spot for the night.
If they need to keep your coach overnight for paint or another reason, they will pay for the hotel.
They have been very good about adding warranty and paid items to your list, whether on the list or added when you get there. They prefer advance notice so they can allot enough time. Your items may take more or less than the 4 days now scheduled.
The main customer lounge does not allow pets, but there is a smaller lounge for those with pets.

Hi Steve and Lynette
As Dirk said take any spot without the 'Cone'
Be prepared to have Coach picked up at 6 AM.
Add any items to the list and return to Newmar.
They are VERY good at accomodating most requests!!
Not sure about Pets.
Have FUN
Rick

We were there last week and the only problem we had was with our cat. We had to take her in a cage in the car. She was not happy about that. I can see that they don't want an animal left in while they are working with the door open for their access. We were very happy with our visit.

Still at Camp Newmar, they are currently doing warranty and non warranty work for anyone who ask. Every morning the tech ask is there anything else they can do. They even did custom paint on a car hauler this week.

On your question regarding staying in the rig with the pets, no problem. While the waiting room at high line does allow pets, you can opt to stay in your coach with the pets while they work on your rig. Both the pet friendly waiting room and the ability to stay in your coach are strickly exclussive to the high line service.
