Campground for Newmar Factory Tour?
We are planning to visit the "mother ship" in August and would like some recommendations for campground near Napannee. Thanks in-advance!

stay at the factory. There is water snd electricity around the fence. The full hook up sites will probably be full. When we do not stay there we go to the fair grounds in goshen which is maybe 10 miles front Nappanee.

If the Newmar lots are full or you want a "real" campground instead of a parking lot, this one is only 5 miles away:
Pla-mor.net - Home
We stayed there and liked it.

Many thanks for sharing the options! We're looking forward to seeing how they build the big ones!

We took our 12 year old granddaughter there last year. She still talks about how they floated a 45 foot King Aire along the assembly line on pads that used a cushion of air to float the coach. A couple of workers pushed the monster along using one finger. Afterwards she said , "I'm going to buy one of those when I get a job!"
We stayed at the factory "campground" along the fence line.

We stayed it the factory with our 2000 30ft Hurricane amongst a parking lot full of DP's in for service. Looked really out of place but had some good conversations ( both good and not so good ). Short walk to tour starting point and factory floor. Also short walk to Amish restaurant.

How do you get a spot along the fence at the factory? Do we need to call someone or do you have to show up/FCFS, if so, who to check in or?

You just show up - there's no one to call
we parked all the way at the N end in our little 24' Winnie, when we visited as SOB

Just be aware, if there is a traffic cone blocking the site, it is taken, probably by a coach in the service building. No cone, the site is available.
