Campgrounds between Boston and Nappanee?

Traveling to Nappanee from the Boston (taking Route 80 thru PA) for an appointment on January 11. Does anyone know of any campgrounds along the way (about half way .. Western PA) that are open this time of year?

Try:

Williamsport South/Nittany Mountain KOA, 570-568-5541, exit 210A from I80.

Wolfs Camping Resort, 800-850-8292, exit 53 from I80.

Heading out there myself for the 4th not sure many will be open but some are open for winter campers and not sure how close th highways.
You can use this link for the route you maybe taking, have a safe trip.

Here's one in W. Pa. just south of I-80 & I-79. They list having 5 sites available all winter.

Most CG's in PA close in the fall, Dec at the latest. The KOA mentioned closes in Nov & Wolfs the end of Oct.

Try Treasue Lake in DuBois, that's as close to half way, is open in the winter & yet still as near I80 as you can get. If you can make it farther west than just half way, Rosepoint Park in New Castle is also open. Another I'd suggest that's open, although you'd have to drop down to the turnpike (1.5hr south out of your way) would be Friendship Village in Bedford. There are a few closer to the east side of PA that are open, but, if you're wanting near central or west PA, I won't bother mentioning them unless you want.

Apparently the Mercer KOA has just started keeping 5 full hookup sites available through the winter. Here's a quote from their home page:

"November 1, 2009 - March 31, 2010
There are 5 full-hookup RV sites open (prefer internet 48 hour advance reservation or night/self register)."

So this campground is still a possibility.

The stick house is in south Florida. The next time I will be at Newmar is next summer. You are a brave fella to go there this time of the year. You can have my share of the cold. Below 70 degrees F I am cold.
