Newmar Bunch: Mainly because of your input re: body work svc. we need and your suggestions pertaining to North Trail in Ft. Myers, we ARE headed down there on Sun., 11/2 for appt. on Tues. 11/4. Any of you have a suggestion for a campground convenient to NORTH TRAIL which would accomodate our 45' Essex for a few weeks?? Jonathan Rapp at North Trail mentioned something about a "Cypress Tree" or "Cypress Woods" off exit 140. Sound right to you??? By the way, thanks again for your help. We've talked w. North Trail a few times and they sure sound helpful. Steve & Lynette

Cypress Woods.

Member CWG has a spot there, and based on his recommendation, I'll be there for the winter starting Nov. 15th.

If Cypress Woods is full, try Riverbend (further out Rte 80 toward LaBelle).

Another option is Pelican Lake.

I have a few friends who are already onsite at Cypress Woods and they report it is not nearly full. Probably only at 15% winter capacity. You will like it for the proximity to both North Trail (5 minutes away), restaurants, and activities with Ft. Myers. RiverBend is a further out; Pelican Lake is in Naples (approx an hour away). Good luck

Thank you ALL!! Going in to Cypress Woods for at least a few days...but...it's likely too expensive for our meager budget to stay for the extended length of time it'll take to get new bay doors from Nappanee. Does anyone know the "rates" at Cypress Woods?? (I know,..I know.. it looks like one of those spots where "if ya gotta ask, ya can't afford it!!") Anyway.... Thanks for your help. Steve & Lynette

The least expensive, but nice, campground in the area is Koreshan State Park. It has full hook-ups for $23 @ night. It is in Estero, just West of Route 41, and convenient to Alico Road, which is access to I-75 (about 10 miles south of North Trail).
