This used to be a problem on my Monaco coaches, but I haven’t had it happen yet on the DS.

That said, one thing I learned NOT to do is lock the doors and then pull on the latches to make sure they are locked. When you do this, you put some strain on the latch mechanism, pulling it back slightly on the bracket, decreasing the bite and increasing the chance it will slip open.

Better to test that doors are latched with a gentle pull on the bottom edge of the door.

Depends on the lock. But the short answer is YES

You see the door needs to ber both LOCKED and LATCHED, it is possible to lock them without latching.

And what's mroe teh latch needs to be properly adjusted

Some of mine if I'm not careful the latch will just barely catch and thus the door can come open. even if locked since teh lock locks the handle, nto the striker bolt.

I triple check the doors also. I pull the bottom edge after locked.
