We had the vinyl flooring in our Ventana and it didn't show any scratches from the slide rollers.

I was just looking at a Ventana LE that's in stock at North Trail with the laminate flooring, that coach looks awesome although I have no idea how that flooring would hold up. Sure looks nice though.

flooring

We have the laminate wood floor in our CS. The scratches from the rollers are obvious when your on the floor but not from a casual observer walking in or sitting in the coach. We have since solve the problem by putting down a small throw rug at each roller (5 on ours) in the closed position. The problem seems to happen when you are traveling and slide has any slight movement from the roadway.

The biggest complaint with the Dark with floors is it shows dust. We have light wood floors in the house and it is alot better.

We have the standard vinyl and it has been quite easy to take care of. As has been mentioned with the laminate, when the slides are in and you are traveling, the rollers probably "sit heavy" on the floor to the point that, when the slide(s) are put out a close examination will reveal the slightest indentation where each roller has been sitting when in. It is important to make sure the floors are swept or wiped down before retracting the slides since any type of sand or similar, if caught under the roller when it stops, can possibly wear into the floor while you're going down the road (when the slide has visually imperceptible movement). Overall we've been pleased with the vinyl and it still looks brand new. Good luck.
