Can anyone tell me if the Canyon star 3920 would be able to tow a Acura MDX(~4500)and still have enough to hold all of the stuff that comes with 4 kids?? We really like the All Star toyhauler but for now it's a little out of our price range.
Thanks for the help,
Janelle

Check the weight label inside the rig for the GCWR (gross combined weight rating). Add the LOADED weight of the rig (get this from a truck stop scale - not what is written on the label) to the LOADED MDX weight (also from the truck stop scale) and that total needs be LESS than the GCWR printed on the label in order to safely tow.

Janelle: WELCOME to iRV2.com We are glad you joined and posted. The info given by RV Dude is correct, and the answer is going to be determined by which chassis you have. Assuming you have a 22,000 GVWR chassis, either Ford or Workhorse, the MAX total combined weight for both loaded coach and loaded MDX cannot exceed 26,000 pounds. Most of us using 22,000 chassis find a 3,200 pound toad such as the Honda CR-V or Saturn Vue to be about all we can tow. Please don't forget that WHATEVER you decide to tow, you WILL need aux. brakes for the toad.

Again, WELCOME! ED

Ed, do you know the hitch rating on the current crop of gassers?
