Last .6 mile trip to get it to a location that a wrecker could pick it up died 5 times very hard to steer and stop not running and no power.
Any ideas or recommendations at this point 4 months cannot use motorhome will not stay running
not safe to try and drive with no power
Thanks Jeff

Died again no power towed to another ford dealership Vic Bailey ford Spartanburg SC. ran coach 2 days did not die test drove all power cut off. Ford replaced the main wire harness and power distribution box. Picked up coach took to rv dealer for warrantee minor items ran great. after another 3 months in the shop for repairs took on first trip died again but I was able to start and finish the drive home. Called Newmar and they got Ford on the line also. They stated that without it acting up they could do nothing and advised to drive it till it dies.
Any ideas on what I can do

This has been going on since august 2014

Tag for later while I brainstorm on it a bit and so you don't think your being ignored.

May want to post in the Ford chassis section too.

Electrical problems

The only problem with the drive it till it dies is we both work and have to schedule time off for our trips, make reservations and unload the motor home when it leaves us stranded. This is a toy hauler and we have a RZR in the back of it. Luckily ? when it has left us stranded we were close enough to home I could unload the rzr and drive home.
We live in the mountains of north Carolina and most of our trips are to atv/off road campgrounds usually small 2 lane roads in the mountains with no shoulders. When it dies no power to the steering and none to the brakes, dash is a complete blank like no battery was installed some times it will power back up and some times not. Not a good feeling to be rolling down the road in a coach with no power and drop offs on the side of the road.

When it dies, shouldn't it throw codes to the OBDII?

Just asking.

No codes all power lost complete reset on everything and even trip miles reset to 0. I have a code reader no codes even the ford techs cannot understand when it happened to them ?

I too think it's a ground problem.

Maybe try taking each negative battery cable off at the chassis, cleaning it to bare steal and re-installing it. If there is only battery to engine, try adding a battery to chassis as well.

Check/tighten the connection at the computer as well.

Here is the only photo of a Ford stripped chassis I have. Check the back side of the cable connections:

If a battery connection is whats shutting it off there will be no code.
