Canyon star slide problem

I have a 2014 canyon star 3940. The big slide on the driver's side is struggling to get over the hump. I have increased the tork on the controller with no help.
I don't think rust is a problem. It has always stop and started but now it seems like it may not make it. Has anyone have this happen to them?

Are you hooked to shore power, or running the generator while moving the slide ? This is recommended, as it increases voltage to the motors.

Iím running out of ideas, here is one more possibility. Try retracting the leveling jacks first before bringing in the slide. Is it possible the jacks put a twist in the frame? This would put additional stress on all the components.

On a diesel pusher, Newmar recommends now that the chassis not be on jacks when moving the big slide for just this reason.

So the slide comes in all the way now? Or stops partway?

When you increased the pot on control you increased in small increments, correct and it now is at limit?
In this sticky you will find the procedure to reset FWS slide in its opening for bring the two motors in sink with each other. Years 2013 to 2015
I would level coach take a look at the reveal openings of slide after leveling to make sure slide will not be binding in slide opening than proceed to program slide operation.
The slide not coming up ramp indicates more power is needed for motor to get slide up ramp if there is still more movement left fo pot give it a little more increase to help slide up ramp.
Make sure slide is not binding in slide opening.
I see its not a FWS but just a LR slide so you can forget the FWS adjustments, all other info still applies.
I would also check the underneath of slide to see stop rods are fine and motor and shaft cog wheels are OK, no binding.

What you can also do is re-seat the plugs on control board, check the motor wire connections may be loose in splice or wire nuts loose and check the 12v fuse location and wiring to that fuse.
If by chance works a lot better turn down pot and readjust so slide gets up ramp we do not need to brake brackets or stop rods because of over adjustment of pot.

I have exactly the same problem with my 2019 CS 3627 on the big slide on the passenger side. As far as I know, Canyon Stars do not use programmable controllers and do not use dual motor systems.

On mine, I just wait 30 seconds or so after the slide stops climbing the ramp and then press the button again. Usually takes a few times but it eventually gets up the ramp and then comes in just fine. I always stop the slide at full in and full out by releasing the button and don't leave it to the current limiter.

I had it at the factory in June and they added some shims to the ramp, said the controller was working fine and basically did nothing to resolve the issue. I suppose one of these day the slide will not come in and I'll have to formulate a plan "B". In the meantime I just keep my fingers crossed everytime I bring in that slide.

Since going to the factory, I now have an issue with the slide being all the way forward in the wall cutout to the point the rear seal is about 1/2" off the rear of the slide. But that's another thread. Slides Again
