Cargo doors

Cargo door on curb side will not open. After unlocking doors with power locks one door will not open the handle will not pull. The cylinder shows it is unlocked but handle still will not open. Got in touch with the after hours tech and he advised to turn off chassis batteries to see if it will reset but no luck.

I’ve had something like that happen and I was able to take the u-shaped piece off that the latch closes against by reaching in from an adjacent compartment and open the door. It is usually some loose screws behind the black cover on the backside of the door.

Found out that the actuator froze up in the locked position. Will call Newmar tomorrow and have them send me a new one. Was able to get the door open.

Cargo door will not latch,no matter where i adjust the bar.Seems like latch does not reach bar to close around it,or weatherstripping holding it out. Any takers on this problem. 2018 Baystar 3401.

On my 2018 Baystar 3124 I had a door (the curbside front) with the same condition you describe. I added a couple of hard rubber shims under the latch mechanism on the door. I would send pics but the BS is in storage and snowed in. As I recall the mounting screws on the latch are square drive...
