Hi All& HAPPY NEW YEAR!: Well, just HAD to tell someone!! We're taking delivery and moving into our 08 ESSEX later this week!! Yup....got caught in the trap..Ha!! Took our 40 ft.,'06' Mtn. Aire in to service cntr. for a simple heater fan replacement, and...sure enough....wandered into an Essex just arrived on the lot....and proceeded to lose our minds!!!! It's BEAUTIFUL, and after living for two years in "the rig we'd never trade"...we worked a deal with the dealer and.....well....what can we say....we're now owners of the new rig!! Being fulltimer's living in our rig, we're scheduled to take our Mtn. Aire to dealership for two or three days to switch homes (move stuff), and to learn about how to operate the Essex, an intimidating prospect for two old foggeys who had to stop using our old T.V. VCR when our son (now in Iraq) left home back in Duluth, MN. to start his Air Force career. After he left, we could never figure out how to program the darn thing and this all electronic Essex has more buttons and remotes than ya see on the shelves at Radio Shack!!! Well, maybe the change over may take a little longer that two or three days!!! ENOUGH for now...we'll stop boring y'all. Just had to tell someone...hope ya understand. Thanks. Steve & Lynette

Steve & Lynette,
Congrats on your new home. I know what you mean by having a coach you'll never trade. Good luck and many happy miles.

Congratulations, Steve and Lynette,
I to can't see a trade any time in the future but after 03 DSDP, 04 MADP, 06 MADP and 08 MADP DW will not get near any shows or new dealers. Can't blame her!
Thanks, Daryl

Congratulations Steve and Lynette:

Having just picked up a new '08 EXDP in Nappanee ourselves, we share your enthusiasm and wish you good luck and safe travels. Ain't that Comfort Drive great? Know what you mean about the electronics - can be very intimidating and is a lot more complicated than our '06 EXDP, but it sure is a lot nicer.

Happy New Year to you both and all the IRV2'ers.

So is there any hope that you guys will tire of your EXDPs quickly so that us poor folks can pick one up cheap?

Congratulations!

Congrats on the new Essex.... having been one of the beta testers for the new Spartan belt arrangements, I know you'll now have a great setup.......
Spartan and Newmar stepped up to the plate in several instances and made it right.....

Looks like there are several other beta testers moving toward '08's as well.

A BIG THANK YOU TO ALL!!: We normally don't like to talk about purchases like this...but...it was TOO exciting to keep it to ourselves. NEVER thought we'd be into this caliber of coach but it was truly one of those absolutely crazy, out of sight, deal opportunities ya just HAD to make or kick yourself for down the road,....and we aren't gettin any younger!! OH!, Daryl: They sure had a wonderful new MADP on the lot...ya really ought to let your wife take a look at it..eh? AND it had a deal on it you couldn't refuse!!! ($182K prehaggle + our O6 4032 MADP!!)and it's a beauty!! Thanks again for all the congrats. Steve & Lynette

Congrats on the new rig.

We did a similar thing with our Tahoe. Had to get specific windshield wipers for the Tahoe so went to our local Chevy dealer and came out with a 3500 Dooley long bed. That's when we made the decision that a 5ver would be in our future.

Safe travels.
