Would someone with much Newmar knowledge please tell me where the factory installed CB Radio wiring is and how to access it? We have a 2004 Model 4010 Dutch Star and I see no easy way to get inside the dash. All of the other 2004 Dutch Stars(not that many)that I have looked at have a panel secured with velcro. Ours does not! Any help will be appreceiated. Thanks in advance. Happy Trails.

The wiring coax for CB and 12v maybe coiled up under dash on left hand side of steering post.
may have to get on back with flashlite to see.
Or you can remove screws for face mounting for radio and heat air controls to gain access behind dash. The radio may have a steel strap but it will bend out as you slowly remove panel.

Misguided, glad to see your post. Our '04 4015 also has no access panel in the dash. Maybe yours and ours went down the line back to back, Ken, '04 DSDP...

I understand the wiring may be in different places on different years/models.
Mine was under the dash on the left side. I had to lie on the floor and use a flashlight to find it.

Misguided o4 ds 4009 does not have dash access either. The cb cable will come from the roof down the driver side w/s pillar post. The cable and 12 volts wires are usually in a roll and tape, fairly big bundle. Be sure that you are prep for a cb. If your unit just has three rubber ducks on top it may not be wired for a cb.

Thanks to everyone for the responce. I found access to the wiring by removing the radio/HVAC control panel. Sadly, there is no cb wiring in there. I also see no antenna on the top. So, I am off to CW to get an antenna. Sorry for not being more prompt with the reply and thanks. Happy Trails.
