Just got my FMCA mag. for Feb. and finished the article on the Featherlite Vantare. My ccc is over 3800 and the Featherlite was 1280. Anybody find this interesting, am I missing something?

You're not missing anything.

Many of the busses have very little CCC

A few years ago, at the Tampa show, a Prevost had a CCC of 6xx lbs. The sales gal didn't have a clue and was more interested in pointing out all the features of the coach.

I noticed the same thing. That is why NCC and CCC are on my top ten items when looking for a coach.

Little did she know that I was more interested in her spec's.

Hi Charles! No, I don't think you missed anything however, in fairness, the "payload as tested" was determined while holding 170 gallons of water and 230 gallons of fuel No wonder these monsters only get ~ 4 mpg!
Even my GASSER has more CCC than 1280 lbs. ED

I noticed the very low ccc also and have read this in other road tests of other top end coaches.

We have had our mh weighed on each corner with full fuel, water, propane, and us sitting in the seats and have 750 pounds left on the front and 1800 on the rear for additional stuff. Speaking of stuff, the basement is completely full and we carry a full complement of stuff in the house. The only thing we move on-board when we leave is perishable foods and the laptop.

This is one of the reasons we bought the 2-slide floor plan. We wanted more than enough ccc.

Yo, Terry! I counted three "stuffs" in your post. I guess that is why you abandoned us remaining members of the 3740 club.
You're just full of........stuff! ED

Did I mention all the stuff we carry...

Yeah I was 200 lbs over on the front axle of my 3740. If they would have had that on a FRED back then, I would probably still have it!
