The living room ceiling rope lights in my 2006 MADP I have an approximate 6-8 inch strip that has failed on four of the ropes. They are all in the same approximate area about 18-20 inches in from the passenger side. Is there something that I can do to repair them or is it a complete replacement of the ropes (with the accompanying cost)? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

A friend had one of his replaced under warranty for the same thing you describe. The dealer had to replace the entire strip. I understand the light strip just plugs in at each end. The dealer removed the wood trim to get access to where it plugged in. Somewhere in the back of my mind I want to remember there were instructions not to use the lights with some of them burnt out due to heat and possible fire. (Just not sure about this)

I had a short section go out on mine too, but I went here Courtesy Lighting - RV and was able to purchase a smaller length and a kit to replace just the portion that was out. Worked great and you can't even see the splice.
