Ceramic Coated...3 app's on front 2 app's on the remainder

1. Acid washed entire MH except front windshield. Don't acid wash front laminated glass. It will cloud up. This removed the water spots caused by 2 1/2 years of washing and truck washes.

2. Clay barred, polished and used pre-app. Then applied 3 coats of Ceramic Coating on front paint and over the EPel Ultimate. 2 coats over the rest of coach.

For those who will post their negative comments. I will put my trust in my detail friend of 40 years who won first place for highest gloss at Pebble Beach Concourse Elegancia and won 3 best polish and shine at SEMA Show over Chip Foose entries.

I will be headed out for a 6 week trip to Lake Havasu City, Quartzsite, Yuma, and San Diego. I will stop at my normal wash places. This will give a fair test. I will only let these places use high pressure deionized water or spot free rinse. I will not need any chemical's or brushes. This new surface is very slick just like teflon or ceramic pans.

Last. Cost. 2 Inspiration Ceramic Coating Kits with a 9H hardness rating (Amazon) 2 Paint Coating Surface Prep and lots of microfiber towels (Costco). I bought these products from a professional detailer supplier but are available on Amazon.
The real cost is preparation. We acid washed = 4 hours. We clay barred with new clay mit 4 hours. 8 hours paint correction and polishing. 4 hours of ceramic coating.
It was a 70% by my detailer friend and 30% me helping in my wash bay detail shop at my house.
Product cost. Approx $500.00
Detailer Cost. Approx $1000.00

This weekend I took my coach out for its first real trip since the ceramic coating. We had a bit of rain, and to make things worse, a bid of mud on the highway. When I arrived at the campground, the coach was an absolute mess.

I did a quick wash there, using the foam canon and pressure washer. I am amazed at how easily it cleaned up! I need to do a proper cleaning job, but it looked really good for the low effort I put into washing it.

Dang...that sure is purdy! The problem I'd have with it is I'd be afraid to drive it anywhere for fear of picking up a rock ding along the way. That would spoil my whole day.

Nice work, SLS!

I live in Oregon. It has been to NY twice already. Will be headed to Massachusetts, Branson, MO and Back to San Diego this year.

I hate water spots and hope this works.

The EXpel works pretty good on the front. My son and I have talked about putting EXpel on the lower panels/doors to stop the rock chips that trucks fling up when passing.....

FYI on cost. I talked to my detailer tonight. I am at the Oregon Coast for a couple days and left him alone. He has polished/waxed all the wheel and decided to also Ceramic coat all the awnings covers. Wow...!!!
It could add another $300 to $400.....Which I am happy to pay.

My next Corvette will be ceramic coated. Harder than the clear coat it covers.

SLS, did you use a Nano Glove to claybar your paint?
