Going to assume it's on the compressor. But...where's the leak is the bigger question...
That needs to be addressed before adding more freon.

The fittings for charging the dash air are located in the front gen slide area. They will be close to HWH assembly higher up. There are some mistakes one could make adding R-134 to low side AC. Do wear gloves and eye protection and do some checking for information on charging AC system.

Dash AC in most DP's is destined for failure: long lines lead to leaks; but it can be made to work. If you really want to DIY your dash AC, this book is a good place to start:

Automotive AC Training Manual

My son used this manual to learn how to repair/recharge the dash AC in his 1976 GMC motor home. Current systems are pretty much the same, just different seals and refrigerant. He rented AC equipment from AutoZone. Big job, but it paid off.

If you're not prepared to put in the time, then best to have it professionally serviced and repaired. (And if your 2012 KA dash AC isn't working, it definitely needs to be repaired.)

Good luck!

Hi drdonny,
If it is like those I have seen it is on the passenger side, between the HWH valves and the headlight. If you buy the kit from Walmart the screw on piece will only fit the correct side of the A/C. High and low pressure sides are different sizes. Get the kit with the guage. It will tell you when the pressure in the system is in the correct range. If this is your first fill, it may just be in need of a little gas. If you do have a leak, do not use the store bought cans of leak repair product. The lines are too long to handle it. Let a pro diagnose the problem.

At least on the Ventana...there is a Evans-Tempcon box up front on the passengers side. They use a combination heater/air conditioning evaporator. The charge amount is posted on a yellow sticker.

Follow the lines and you will see the hi and low service ports...

I would recommend ordering a new reciever/drier...then using a recovery unit to draw all the refrigerant for the system. Swap out the filter/drier. Draw vaccum and leak check... Then recharge with proper. Harge by weight or graduated volume if using g a dial-o-charge.

Welcome to the forum.
This link will have all the info you need for the EVAN's system.
The control valve maybe installed in correctly which is explained also.
If you had tested for leaks the hoses run through the chassis frame and some times will need to be replaced.
I would check the system first and think positive.
