Check Your Water Line Connections!

Heading to Nappanee for some first year warranty work. Happened to pull out drawers under kitchen sink to retrieve an item that had fallen behind drawer. Noticed some dampness and found a slow leak at the water line connection to the dishwasher. Has been occurring for quite some time as Center wood support is stained and cracked. One drawer slide is pretty rusted. Now checking all connections under all sinks!

This is on my to do list every time we take out the coach. All the rattling and shaking from driving tends to loosen some of these connections. It's an easy fix but needs regular attention.

Remember a year or so a go a new owner of a King Aire had left their water pump on while driving and had a water leak. The damage was so bad they ended up replacing the coach. A little different then your problem but a good suggestion is not to travel with water pump on because that would be the most likely time for a leak to start while traveling.

Definitely didn’t do that. Was hooked into water supply (ether regulator) when discovered. From the looks of the damage, particularly rust, has to been happening for months but so small of a leak it wasn’t noticeable.
But good advice on the water pump. Think I’ll ask for a new King Aire next week! Black mold might be forming....

I hate to add to this but great advice and a shame it has to be done with a new coach/motor home.

We have had leaky water lines, leaky drain lines, leaky shower P-Trap.

Newmar definitely had/has a plumbing installation problem.

We have many hours checking and fixing plumbing.

Good luck!

I had a wet spot on the carpet in front of the couch. Where could that be coming from?? Loose connection under the sink behind a panel where the slide ends. Water traveled along the wall and showed up in the middle of the floor only.
