Chrome Mirrors

Is anyone aware of after market replacement mirrors for a 2004 Newmar Essex OR is it more cost effective to have them rechromed ?

Good question. I just went through this last winter.
My mirror mounts (Remco) are badly corroded from the inside out and the mirrors also have some signs of corrosion.
So, I contacted Remco Factory and they were very helpful with replacement part numbers etc but they were Expensive. Next step, I contacted a couple of chrome shops. They were not real excited about doing these but did give me an estimate that was close to or even exceeding the cost of new.
In the end, I put my project on hold but decided that it would be more cost effective to replace them rather than go through all the hassle of disassembly/reassembly and shipping to re chrome.
Hope this helps.

Ramco is the manufacturer, might want to check with them.

Recommend Remco. Two experiences with them satisfactory, one lens replacement, one full mirror assembly replacement. Available from Newmar but VERY expensive.

I have some chrome bubbling up on one of my mirrors and have thought about just painting the mirrors on my '04 Dutch Star. Haven't really researched it though. Not sure what you would have to do to get paint to stick to chrome.
That's about all that is chrome on my coach.
