well, at least we're still on "the list" at Newmar :-)
We got two cards, one for the 2000 DSDP that we traded in on the 2002 DSDP we now have. I should have saved them to send to anyone that didn't get one and feels slighted.

I had the original break in my hand also, took a spill, but not totally on my back. Replaced it with an aftermarket one, probably same vendor as noted on other posts. I had to cut a notch in it, to get it to fit brackets, did that with a hack saw rather than power saw, to hold down heat. So now, I don't put as much force on it, just in case. BTW, we never got a notice from Newmar.

Mr D, it's ok you didn't save one for me, I don't think I would like the chrome one anyway!

We replaced ours by going to a plastic shop & for $5 we bought a piece of plastic & used a hair dryer to heat it up & bent it to fit ,using the old one as a pattern, thus we keep it lite up

I have replaced the plastic handle twice since having the MH. The last one is beginning to crack as well. It is only 2 years old. That plastic cannot take this Texas heat. I have not gotten the card offer. But the chrome handle would really get hot if it were in the sun. So, next time I may try something after market from a different vendor than Newmar.
