Cleaning area before using Dicor

Looking at several videos, there seems to be a wide range of products used for pre application cleaning. What is the best cleaning product to use that I might have at home or could get at our local hardware store? I live in a small Tx town and don't want to drive miles to a larger city. We have both self leveling and non leveling dicor. The application is to be areas of cracks that need repair. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

Clean with soap( I like to use Dawn dish soap) and water then follow-up with acetone or lacquer thinner. If it on a "rubber" roof, just don't soak it with the acetone or lacquer thinner, just a wipe
