2006 Essex 4508 bath and 1/2 floor plan,
The closet is in the rear and has 2 sliding doors that overlap, the doors are hung from the ceiling in a track that has 4 slides, or rollers, attached to the top of each door.
The rear slide, farthest from the latch, has come loose from one door, allowing the rear of the door to sag and the front to raise causing the latch not to align.
There is not enough space to see how the slide is attached much less repair it. It appears, the only way to service the door is to remove the channel above the door along with the door together as a unit.
Not to be playing "misery loves company", but I hope someone has had a similar issue and can confirm my thought that the channel and door must come out.

Most sliding doors can be removed by lifting the doors straight up then pulling the bottom of the door out of the track, then lowering the door to clear the upper track.
Reinstall in reverse order.

JVR:
We have an 08 EX with what sounds like similar, overlapping, mirrored, sliding doors to rear bdrm. closet. My wife is still asleep back there, so I'll go take a look later and get back to you if I can figure out how to access that loose roller. Haven't had to work on ours so I'm not certain, but will try.
When I've run into such problems before, I've had very good luck by calling the 800 number at Nappanee, and asking the operator to connect you to the HighLiner office to talk with someone about the procedure. I know it sounds "ify", but they've helped alot.
I'm guessing here, but I think lifting the closet door off the overhead roller track requires removing the door tracking guide(s) and/or moulding at the bottom of the door(s) first, so door bottom can be pulled out (or pushed in) to lift top edge rollers out of the track.
I'll see if I can figure it out.
Steve.

JVR, if its your doors between bath and bedroom:
My doors have a curved latch that hooks around one roller in track.
Once you have roller lifted onto track re-lock the latch.
If you cannot see a latch it maybe a different setup and a call to Newmar may be merited.

Figured it out, there are plastic C's that can be released from the roller at the top by lifting the door to remove the weight and turning the plastic C until it comes out of the engagement hole. Then the door can be removed.
Thanks to all,
JVR

Ahhh...so THAT'S the trick. Thanks for posting. One more piece of info to keep in mind. Ya know,....about the time I finally get comfortable with operating this rig, it'll be time to hang up the keys!!

007,
The doors are actually closet doors at the rear of the rig located in the rear bath, but your description of the roller and curved latch is exactly the same. The difference it's not visible unless you get inside the closet and look from that side.
Just a tip that hopefully will save someone the grief I've been through, during a trip one of the doors opened in a hard curve and slamed into the other door and broke the stop and actually cracked the door. The doors have full length mirrors and are very heavy, so when one slams into the stop it's going to damage something.
I plan to place a piece of wood in both tracks, similar to a patio door at home, so the doors can't open in travel.
