Clutch adjustment on cable reel

I took my cable reel out and apart to check all connections and they were all good. It clutch seems week as it clicks in by pass more than it reels the cord. I called the mfg. and was told to take the plastic cover off the side ( about 6 screws) then take the motor assembly off ( 3 screws). Bend the metal so it pushes harder on the plastic gear. I took the metal tab off ( 1 screw) to bend it. Put it back together and it works better. Don’t forget to disconnect power and the 12 v. I pulled the bottom wire off the thermal breaker for the 12v

Useful info, as several have reported problems with the reel slipping. Maybe 007 can add this to the "quick tips".

Yes, that is the 12v that powers the motor. Mine is B9 behind the cable reel.

You can follow the red wire from the reel.

I'm new to all this. How do you kill power to B9, as there doesn't appear to be a fuse with that wire block.

B9 is a thermal breaker (like a fuse that resets) I used a nut driver to take the bottom wire off. If you take the top one off it will be a hot wire hanging instead of a dead wire.
