We had our coach re-sided this spring and are very pleased with the whole result. I was on the fence about Diamond Shield re-installation, took a chance we'll see.
The pictures sent to me showed the old sides on the floor, almost intact, being used as templates to cut the openings, windows etc. in the new material so they match the inside openings.

Gary,
Thanks for the info. Looks like I'll be following your lead and not get the Diamond Shield. I knew I didn't ask enough questions, but I was interrupted during the conversation and never got back to it.

Here are some pictures of our re-siding. As Route 66 said, the sidewalls can be replaced without affecting the structure of the RV:
We did go with the new Diamond Shield. Newmar said it was a superior product vs the original Digi Shield our coach had, plus we are now keeping the coach inside a tent out of the weather, where before when our film went bad the coach was stored outside. I am anal about cleaning it now that I know where the trouble spots are, so that should help also. We'll see.

Thanks for posting the pictures. Do you know if they paint before the windows are reinstalled and if they remove the slide out seals before painting?

They definitely paint after the windows are re-installed, below is a pic before repainting. Just went out and looked and the slide seals were definitely installed after painting.

Hi. We have exactly the same coach as you. Same year, model ,colour scheme, floor plan etc. We've only had the coach for a year and a half and now notice the paint checking. How much does it cost to get the work done? We're full timers and want our home to be in the best condition possible.
Thanks.

Hi Grwalker,
Contact Newmar for the official price. As best I know the price is $15.5K if contracted now to be done in the winter months. Be aware, this can be a slippery slope to spend more $s because it is better to do some things while the coach is in to be painted. Examples are:
1. slide topper replacement
2. main awning replacement
3. window replacement
These items normally would require one to pay labor to disassemble and the reassemble the parts. If done at the same time the painting is done, there is none to a minimal amount labor charged. If you decide to get the coach repainted, consider looking over the coach to determine if other items need replacing. Also, remember one can have their coach repainted in any color Newmar is using. The graphics must remain the same as came on your coach. I chose 2015 King Aire Torino Colors.
