Our 07 MADP also has the non-adjustable. It was a challenge to get used to. Reminded me of a vintage 60's International water truck I drove one summer while I was in college. The assistance level is so high, it doesn't have any "feel". Finally got used to it and after many miles of crosswinds on I-10 west, we love it.

Interesting that the OP found one of the prototypes with the adjustable knob.

My 2008 All Star (mid engine diesel) has non-adjustable CD.
