Thanks Ken. Out of curiosity how would I determine if my 2016 Ventana LE has the "first generation" TRW system or the current ReAX system?

Thanks for the help!

It has the 1st generation system. The new one is not in serial production quite yet.

The 1st-generation system, still currently in production, can be seen at

This only shows the powerhead and not the complete column.
Thanks Ken for this document.
(It's given me additional information for troubleshooting)
Last week I was having an issue with the CD.
From a cold start driving STRAIGHT down our street the steering wheel was constantly inputting a STRONG turn to the left. I did not suspect the J1939 connection until I read your document. I recently installed a ScanGauge D monitor that I attached to the front port under the dash which connects directly to the J1939 Type II bus. I am now wondering if the ScanGauge D was interfering in some way with data being transmitting to the CD. I recently had a problem when first installing the unit with the ABS light coming on and displaying an error code 639 which is Data Erratic Intermittent or Incorrect.
I removed the unit, After a few miles the ABS light went out. (No error codes)
A few days later I reconnected the ScanGauge D and had no further issues after setting it up to minimum configuration (Turned off DTC code reading features etc).
The CD did correct itself after driving 6 miles.
The left turning tendency went away and I didn't think anything of it until I read your diagnostic white paper discussing inputs required on the J1939 bus to drive the CD.
Anyway I'll keep an eye on this issue and if it happens again I will troubleshoot the system by first removing the ScanGauge D unit. Randy

Is there a difference between the CD and E-Z drive and if so what is different.

I'm not familiar with the term E-Z drive. Who is using it?

Entegra Cornorstone. Also they use the valid air suspension for 2020 - is it an active air ride system for driving down the road?

If they are using Valid, then this is very close to Active air. It is still "Re-Active" vs "Pro-Active", as it lacks the steering sensor to predict a lean, but the air lines and software are very comparable to the rest of the HWH Active Air.
