The easiest way to tell if you have an operational Comfort Drive is to start the engine and leave it in Park with your foot off the brakes. Steer to one end of travel then let go of the wheel. If you can easily steer all the way to the end of travel with one finger and if it comes all the way back to straight-ahead by itself, you have a working Comfort Drive.
